Our History
KDM Financial was founded 14 years ago. Let us show you how we have grown over the years and share our vision to further grow.
Kris Martin founded KDM under the Professional Investment Services AFSL.
After working in the Bank for 4.5 years Kris found that their advice model was lacking and simply didn’t provide what Australians needed – Kris wanted to build a firm which offered great quality advice and services for all consumers.
We moved offices to Crestmead, and then to Milton. During this time, we hired our first team member, purchased Fincher Insurance Advisers as our first growth step, allowing us to obtain more client base in QLD and NSW.
Kris also completed his MBA and merged additional businesses to increase our service offering to clients.
Luke Marshall joined KDM to provide exceptional investment strategy solutions for our growing client base.
Anoma Peiris joined KDM to continue our growth into the holistic financial planning space required for our clients
With the team growing rapidly and KDM clients needing a southside location, we opened up our Mt Gravatt office.
Obtained our own Australian Financial Services License. Setting up our own AFSL allowed us to provide our clients with greater services and advice offerings plus increased product flexibility.
Moved from our Milton office to the new office at Lutwyche due to the continuous growth in team size. We ran out of space at our Milton office and found a larger and more convenient location at Lutwyche.
To continue the growth of KDM, we have started to move outside Brisbane and Queensland.
We always had clients in Victoria plus after acquiring two practices in Melbourne, the next step was to officially open an office in Moonee Ponds. The Gold Coast office is located in Southport and has since recently come online for the same reason.
